Divya grew up in Wellington, where she now lives with her husband Sri. Divya completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago. She worked as a Dental House Surgeon at Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals for two years and then moved to Auckland where she worked another two years both for the DHB and in private practice.
She returned to Dunedin for further training and completed a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry, to specialise as an Orthodontist. Divya enjoys treating people in all ages and stages of life – children and adults, including those requiring orthognathic surgery and those wanting aesthetic orthodontic solutions such as aligners.
Outside of work, Divya is an avid animal lover, enjoys skiing, yoga and keeping active.
“To hear someone say they didn’t used to like smiling before orthodontic treatment and now they can’t stop – this is the best job in the world”
