Dr Wei Lin
Orthodontist
Wei was born in China and moved to New Zealand at the tender age of 6. He and his family have been constantly on the move around the North Island. He has resided in Auckland, Whanganui as well as Wellington, where he attended and graduated from Hutt Valley High School. Wei’s family eventually settled in New Plymouth, where they reside now.

Upon graduation as a general dentist, Wei worked as a dental surgeon as well as a private dentist in New Plymouth for three years prior to returning to the University of Otago to complete a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry, specialising in Orthodontics.

Wei is currently a member of the Royal Australasian college of Dental surgeons, a member of the New Zealand association of Orthodontists and is Australasian orthodontic board certified.
​
Outside of the orthodontic practice, Wei has many hobbies including cooking, snowboarding, keeping fit, and is a very amateur surfer. At home, Wei has a black cat who like to pretend they do not like any affection yet wake him up every morning at 5am to ensure he is ready for the day ahead and that they are fed on time. Wei has just added a new Samoyed puppy to the family.
